Sloafbake Price Increase Notice (New price effective 9th July 2022)

When the world is full of unfortunated events. Things happen far away can influence what happens around us. 

This graph shows price of wheat flour in a year time. The price recently went uphill from the beginning of March. And today, our supplier has confirmed that the price of our flour is going to be increased. 

My sister has warned me about the increasing price of wheat flour and now it’s really happening. Thankfully, the modern supply chain, with inventory management and etc, allows us sometimes to think and send this news forward to you. 

The price of the creamcheese we use in our bakery recently went up 23%. And with more than 10% increased in the past months, we expect that the price of the wheat flour will probably go even higher. 

In the past 2 years, I’ve tried my best to not adjust the price. Because I know everyone is striving through the global pandemic and the economic slump. 

But this time, it’s inevitable. 

If you’ve been our regulars, first of all thank you!, you probably notice we rarely do discount promotions. Because we did not include marketing cost in our price and we are not full on mass production and do not reach the economy of scale yet. 

Since I started @sloafbake, my goal is to make bread that everyone can have as a part of their everyday meal. This goal has been an important part of everything that make us who we are, from menu design, price, size, packaging and every other things. 

We have been trying to reduce our cost creatively like buying the packaging during Shopee monthly sale 😅. 

I’m going to increase the price reasonably, make them affordable for both you and us. Some of the items are the same price and some will be 10-30 Baht increased depending on the ingredients. 

The new price will be effective on 9 July 2022. The order placed and paid prior to the date will be charged the old price, regardless of the date of delivery.
